, I have the same problem and re-install Q14 a couple of times without luck... Quicken 2014 not launching after 10586 update - Windows 10 Forums Looks like folks are having more luck with re-install of Q15 than Q14, my Q14 was working fine during the initial W10 install/Upgrade, but it was broken after the latest Build upgrade in November..
Spent many hours reading thru the related threads over at Quicken Support [not a very user-friendly forum to navigate/interact] and haven't found a solution; My Error seems related to Microsoft.
NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\[event viewer], but this new windows 10 upgrade has even installed the latest 4.6 Microsoft.
I am the only user and am logged on as Administrator. I recently built a new computer based surrounding an Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard.
I installed all the utilities and later had issues running Quicken 2014. I was able to load Quicken 2009 on my Win10 sys and it seems to work but I can't migrate the data from my XP sys to my Win10 sys.
I do a backup on the XP sys and try to restore it on the Win10 sys but it says the file is invalid.
You can download and export up to 18 months' worth of Vanguard transaction history into Quicken.
After you download your data, your operating system should automatically recognize the file and import it directly into your Quicken records.
The Quicken software will compare the new download with older information to record only new transactions and eliminate any duplicates. Intuit no longer supports previous versions of Quicken.
